As soon as you have confirmation of the wedding date and have booked the venue. To see if we have your date available, please fill out the wedding cake inquiry.
-
To reserve your wedding date on my calendar and prevent another booking from reserving your date, a $200 date retainer is required, which will be deducted from your final cake balance.
Once your design details are gathered, I'll send a proposal outlining the total cost. A signed contract and a 50% payment is then required to move forward, with the remaining balance due no later than 4 weeks before delivery.
-
Yes! Private tastings are available to clients who have reserved their wedding date with us. The tasting includes a selection of thoughtfully curated flavors and is offered as an optional add-on for $75. Tastings are by appointment and can be scheduled at a time that complements your design consultation.
-
Once your date is reserved, you’ll receive a brief questionnaire to gather inspiration and aesthetic details. During your design consultation, we’ll refine your vision and talk through styling, florals, and setting. Afterward, I’ll begin working on your cake concept. The final sketch and full design proposal are shared once everything is officially booked.
-
Absolutely! Inspiration is always welcome, whether it’s a mood board, stationary, floral arrangements, or personal heirlooms. While I don’t replicate cakes, I’ll create a design that feels uniquely yours.
-
Certainly. I love working with your floral palette, stationary design, bridal fashion, and venue atmosphere to create something cohesive and meaningful. Share anything that feels like part of your story—a swatch, a mood board, or even a poem—and I’ll draw from that when designing.
-
That’s perfectly okay. Many couples book their date before every detail is finalized. I’ll hold your spot with the retainer, and we’ll refine everything together during the design phase. The process is designed to feel easy and flexible, not rushed.
-
Yes. Wedding cakes have a $900 order minimum. Final pricing is determined after our design consultation.
-
I will price your cake based on the complexity of the design, the ingredients used, and the size needed for your event. Each cake is handcrafted, so the pricing reflects the artistry and care that goes into creating a unique piece just for you. Let’s discuss your vision, and I’ll provide you with a preliminary quote.
-
No, I design cakes – I don’t replicate them. I’m happy to draw inspiration from what you love, and I can interpret the mood or inspiration behind a design, but your design will be a one-of-a-kind piece tailored to you.
-
I offer cutting cakes when they’re part of a larger kitchen cake order that meets my $900 minimum. I don’t take stand-alone cutting cake orders, as my focus is on full wedding designs that reflect the day as a whole. You’re welcome to include a dessert table with small pastries or confections, but I ask to be the only cake designer for your event.
-
Yes! We offer select keto/sugarfree, dairy-free, egg-free, and vegan options. However, our kitchen is not a "free-from" kitchen, therefore, our cakes are only recommended to those with dietary preferences and not to those with a dietary requirement or allergies, since we cannot eliminate cross contamination. If you have specific dietary needs, please mention them in your inquiry so we can explore options together.
-
Yes, all wedding cakes require delivery to ensure they arrive safely and are set up with care. Delivery is available throughout West Michigan and beyond, with fees based on cake size and distance.
-
I take every precaution to ensure your cake is delivered and set up flawlessly. However, in the rare case of an emergency, I will work closely with your planner or venue to find a solution.
